Refund Policy

This Returns & Refunds Policy applies to all products purchased from The Sweet Side Designer (“we”, “us”, “our”). Capitalised terms used in this Policy have the same meaning as those defined in our Terms & Conditions. This Policy operates in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) and does not exclude or limit those rights.


By using our website and placing an order, you agree to be bound by this Policy and our Terms & Conditions.

Made-to-Order & Change of Mind Returns

All of our products are made to order. For this reason, we kindly ask that you choose carefully before completing your purchase.

We do not accept cancellations, refunds, returns, or exchanges for change of mind, including but not limited to:

Incorrect selection of size, style, or design

Ordering the wrong item

No longer requiring the product

Delays or circumstances outside of our control

For customised or personalised products, all spelling, wording, and information provided at checkout is the responsibility of the customer. Please ensure all details are checked carefully prior to submission, as we cannot accept responsibility for errors supplied by the customer.

Consumer Guarantees (Australian Consumer Law)

Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.

You are entitled to:

A replacement or refund for a major failure, and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage; or

A replacement if the product fails to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to exclude, restrict, or modify any rights or remedies available to you under the Australian Consumer Law.

Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Items

We will accept refund requests and provide a replacement, or refund where the product:

Is faulty or not of acceptable quality;

Is not fit for its intended purpose;

Does not match its description or sample provided; and

Proof of purchase is provided.

You must notify us within 7 days of delivery if your order arrives faulty, damaged, or incorrect.

How to Lodge a Refund Request

To initiate a refund, please contact us via email at

Your order number

A description of the issue

Clear photographic or video evidence of the fault or damage

Product Assessment

All products will be assessed upon email notification to us by you.

If a minor fault is identified, we may replace the item or issue a refund at our discretion

If a major fault is confirmed, you may choose a refund or replacement.

If no fault is found, the refund will be refused. 

We cannot offer refunds or replacements where damage has occurred due to misuse, abnormal use, or failure to take reasonable care of the product.

Failure to comply with this Policy may result in refusal of a refund or replacement (acting reasonably).

Refund Processing

Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method used at checkout and processed within 3 weeks of confirmation that all return conditions have been met.
